Groundwater monitoring sensor at Local Government Unit of Delfin Albano, Isabela
On July 30, 2025, the SWIM Project 1 team represented by Engr. Kathleen Palma, Engr. Wilfredo Bose, and Engr. Bermiel Allen Tuppil traveled to the municipality of Delfin Albano for the installation of the project’s 9th groundwater monitoring sensor. The team first visited the Municipal Planning and Development Office, where they met with Mr. Marlon D. Castillo, Planning Officer IV of the MPDO. They then proceeded to the Mayor’s Office and had a productive discussion with Municipal Mayor Thomas A. Pua Jr. focusing on the project’s objectives and technical components. Following the meetings, the team headed to San Antonio Elementary School, where the designated well site is located. There, they assembled and installed all system components, including the battery, solar panel, sensors, wiring, and protective housing. Each component was carefully connected to ensure the system would operate smoothly and efficiently.
As part of the installation process, the SWIM team also conducted a brief training session for local personnel on how to restart the system in case of a power outage. After the installation, a final inspection was carried out to ensure that all components were functioning properly.
