Groundwater Monitoring Sensor Installation at Cordon, Isabela

With the continuous groundwater installation of the SWIM Project 1, on September 25, 2024, the SWIM technical staffs traveled to Cordon, Isabela to install the 5th groundwater sensor. The team is led by engr. Glen Batoon together with engr. Alvin John Felipe, engr. Wilfredo Bose, and engr. Kathleen Palma. The team then procced to the installation site where the instrument housing is situated and were accompanied the LGU personnel of Cordon. On-site, the team prepared and installed the system components, which included a battery, solar panel, sensors, wiring, and instrument housing. They carefully connected each component to ensure proper functionality. As part of the process, the SWIM team trained local personnel on restarting the instrument in case of an outage. After completing the installation, they conducted a thorough inspection to confirm that the system was operating correctly.
